My signature identifies all the modifications I will be doing to my car within the next couple weeks. I'm planning on using the DIY instructions provided by all the kind people on this web site. I've got plenty of time and a heated garage, so hopefully everything goes well.
When I do my mods, I would like to raise the car up with a floor jack and put it on four jack stands. From there I will remove all four wheels and then begin my modifications. Yes, I realize many of the mods can be done without taking the wheels off... I will also be painting my brake calipers. Where is the best place to put the jack stands?
I read the post about the gentleman that had the car fall off the stock jack... Does anyone have any safety tips or advice before I begin?

Grats on the mods. But personally, I find it much more rewarding to get one or two mods at a time over a longer period. This way it really feels like you built the car up to what it is. When you wham-bam-ty-maam all at once it becomes not so special, don't you agree?

Congrats on your mods! nice choice of mods. I would suggest MINIMAL time on Jack stands if possible.
You should be able to get jack stands at any auto shop.

+1. You'll want it on it's wheels for the M-tech. It's just more secure there...

I believe he's asking where to rest the car on the jack stands. I'm curious as well.

Vincent at EuroRev said that he shipped out the wheels/tires and the exhaust last week. It sounds like someone fk'd up the bumper when they were packing it, now I have to wait for it to be replaced or refinished... I really don't know what the hell is going on. I can't put the exhaust on until the body kit is installed. We just had 8.5 inches of snow, so it doesn't make sense to be in a hurry to install the new wheels & tires. I'll keep you updated on the progress.
I still don't know where to put the four jack stands... anyone... Bueller, Bueller?
