Went to Reifen Becker today and ordered 12mm wheel spacers for the rear. They would not do it if not possible and they checked it out to make sure they would fit. The spacers will be in by Wednesday and I will have them installed Sat.
Will be sure to take pictures.

Were you able to find matching bolts for mounting the rear? My 10mm H&R spacers came with silver bolts for the rear so I had to mount black plastic bolt covers front and rear to get a uniform look

I honostly didn't check. I know the spacers included the bolts but I am not sure if they will match the ones I already have.

Then chances are they will not match (like mine did not match)...

For me it just looked too out of place to have black bolts in the front and silver in the rear...if the same holds true for you...here's where I sourced the black plastic bolt caps

http://www.prestigewheel.com/

The plastic black caps are obviosuly not as nice as the oem black bolts...but for me they were much better than having two different colored bolts (front and rear)...I bought 20 caps so the front and back would match perfectly. They sit far enough down in the wheel that you don't really notice them all that much...much less obvious than if they were different colors.

ps- you'll love the spacers...they make a subtle but very nice difference to the car

Pardon my ignorance, but what are the spacers used for?
What is their purpose and how does one go about choosing one?

Thanks

Wheel spacers will improve your handling a little bit and it will look better on E60's. It will bring the wheels out closer to the fender to match the front.
