I am trying to decide on new tires for my 19" OEM #166.
I have Generals right now. They were nice. They cost $600 for all 4.
The Potenza's are double the price, and Tirerack people rate them better in handling.
Do I go with what I know, or do I explore to possibly find something better?
Anyone have any experience with the RE960AS's?
I have about a year left on my lease, so I do not need extra treadwear (I think that the Generals did not last to long for me).

With only a year left, why pay top dollar? Unless you plan to really drive it hard, I'd get another set of UHP's.

As much as I don't like the Generals I agree with this...

General Exclaim Ultra High Performance (UHP). They're available from Tirerack.com as well as other tire resellers. It's a decent product for the price you pay. I had them on my previous E39, which were Ok. I don't drive the car that hard either.

I recommend Generals. Very underrated. Same company as Continentals. Its like buying generic made by the brand company.
Thanks for the tip!

I wanted UHPs, but they are on back order until (according to my dealer) late July.
I anted up (and how) for Michelin Pilot Sports instead. My wallet is MUCH lighter now.
