hey guys im in the process of buying a new set of tires for my 167's and wanted to know from the two mentioned which tire the majority thinks is better. ive had the Generals on my e46 and i now have them on my e60 with the stock 124's. ive always had nothing but a good experience with them but i guess im getting a little bored with them, while doing some research i came up on the Kumho's on tirerack and they actually got pretty good reviews and test results. slightly higher in points in some categories than the Generals according to this test on a 330ci
Test Results

i wanted to see what you guys think is the better tire in terms of ride quality/noise/wear/price

obviously money is tight since these 167's arent the cheapest wheels so it has to be between these 2 or another set in the same price range ($600-$700)

Generals:

Kumhos:

thanks

I voted for the General's because I have them, I like them, and I know nothing about the other choice!

I had Kumhos, cant complain about them

the Generals have been really popular though and we've gotten great feedback on them.

I'm using Kumho Ecsta SPT but will soon switch to General Exclaim UHP(Made by Continental).
General has better UTQG 380AA, Kumho has 320AA rating.

I think it's a toss up, but IF I had to choose I would get Kumho's.

I have 19" Generals on BBS CH wheels on my 330cic. I like the way the car handles & feels so much better than with the OEM Bridgestones. I was shocked considering how inexpensive the Generals are. I will be buying them again as soon as I get new #166 wheels for my 550i.
