Hey guys. I came across this Garmin nav box that is advertised as being able to integrate into any existing display to give you nav. Anyone have experience with it or know if it would work with an 09 528i? Here is the link for it. Seems like it could be a very nice option to those of us who are trying to add nav. Here is the link.

Seems like it would work but you would need a way to tap into the video of the idrive (ACM unit or NaVTV2Go or any other video input module).
It is a great idea, but do you have to use touchscreen or can u use the idrive knob?

From what i"m reading the box comes with an rf remote that you would use to control everything. How much do the acm or NaVTV2Go cost? How do you go about switching vid inputs to toggle between the nav screen and the regular idrive screens. How complicated of an install are we talking and will it effect the idrive performance ect. Sorry for all the questions lol
I know the the ACM you have to get it programmed. Navtogo you dont have to. As far as pricing, Navtogo is not that expensive, ($300-$400). One forum member sold a used Nav2Go for $200 recently.
The ACM is like $600+ I believe. You have to double check. There are other video modules too. Search the vendor section. I believe BrabusAMG (John) is selling some or trying to. (not acm but aftermarket module)
