I forgot to add we never talked that the car is increasing HP but the acceleration is pretty different. maybe losing or gains about 5 hp. I really don't care but what I love is the feelings of the revving (sound for you) and I got many attentions

funny now thats its getting colder the car is running faster with the cold air.. this morning on my wau to work.. i took my car in... insted of the company one... and the car felt faster then norm... i thought it was cause on start up the car was still alittle cold.. but as i got on the highway.. she opened up.. as i got to four gear and the rpm`s was around 5,000 she took off... i was surprized.. in the hotter days about 2 3 months ago it would really slow up as i got to this point.. i was like this ear to ear...

so it looks like in the summer its stock box and rpi scoop.. winter CAI....
Yea I saw you today on the Westside Highway. I thought to myself, don't you have a company car?

There is nothing to guide cold air into the AFE filter location. Induction intakes rely soley on vacuum. So, without a sealed box and with the filter sitting right next to the engine, where does the cold air come from? Engine temps and components will remain similar in temps. Yes, in cold weather, your car will feel better compared to hot days. Its a shame AFE tucked tail and ran. I really wanted to do the head to head run with one of their hot air intaked cars.

The AFE doesn't do JACK! I had it on my 530 for almost 2 years. Sounded great, but did nothing more than that. Every car performs better in cold weather. That's basic physics. That's not the point here. The AFE Cone Filter takes in air from it's most immediate source. And that source is your engine folks. And as we all know, hot air doesn't make your car perform better. So I don't care if you're driving in the North Pole. If you were to keep your stock box on and could help drive external air into the stock box (hint, hint...RPI Scoops), then your car will perform better than the AFE, regardless of weather conditions.

Agreed AFE suck.

I believe your posts becasue you are a pro while I am just an "amateur" Like I said I really don't care the gains/loss (maybe -/+ 5 ) but the revving and the feelings/sound.
