Does the fuel injection cleaner they sell at pepboys work? My mpg is gone so bad that I may have to switch cars with my dad (Prius) for my e60 since I commute about 40 miles a day.
If anyone knows which one works, can you point me to the right direction?

I've always heard that Chevron Techron is the really good. It can't hurt -- I add a bottle with a fill up maybe 3 times a year. I can't tell a difference after, but have never had injector problems. If your injectors are a little clogged it might take more than once to help clear things out.

LUBRO MOLY
1) Jectron Fuel Injector Cleaner
2) Valve Clean
I buy them from Bavarian Autosport http://www.bavauto.com by the 6-pack and I alternate them once a month.
This maybe over-kill, but I also do 25,000+ miles per year.

I've also heard good things about Chevron Techron but many years ago a BMW technician recommended I use a product called 44K by BG on my '89 M3. I was amazed at the results! The car was running very poorly before I added it and afterwards, it was like I had a complete overhaul!
I think it's available in many places -- here's a link to the BG product page:

B-12 chemtool its the best!!! I used it on my previous cars, and had great results in terms of maximizing MPG, and cleans petroleum resideuse from carburetor, fuel system, combustion chamber, fuel compression, top engine performance, less operating cost per mile. In the tanjs it disperses moisture and assures more complete burning of fuel which can result in better gas mileage. It's also safe to use for engines equipped with oxygen sensors and catlytic convertors. My 2 cents.

I like Piloti... also buy LUBRO MOLY by the 6 pack......and alternate them accordingly. My engine seem to run smooth with never a hesitation. I think using these, plus 91 octane gas, I'm on the right path to a clean and healthy engine.
