The Florida sun is starting to annoy me now lol....I want some tint on the windshield. I am just concerned about the V1's performance dropping....

It's not metallic tint, but will it affect the laser detection?

Thank you

Krozi...what are you going with? My co-worker told me about the following product last week, but I've never heard of it.

Air Blue Luminar 100% - Front Windshield

by the time your radar detector is reading the cops laser signal, the cop will already have your speed... radar is the only thing you should be worried about.

I am gonna get a 50% tint on the front windshield from Llumar...That should help with the sun, keep the interior cooler, and make the sides look a bit darker...I might even go 15% all around with 50% on the windshield...right now I have 15% on the back window, 30% on the side windows, and nothing on the windshield....we'll see how dark it gets with 50% on the windshield. I can always get darker tint on the sides.

That's why you never speed ahead of the pack...the laser detection is intended to read a reflection from cars in front of you...so you have time to slow down before he lasers you. You have to be smart about speeding

the best radar detector is your right foot and lightly applying it to the pedal

as long as its not metallic tint you should be fine. 15% all around plus 50% on your front windshield?? do you plan on being able to see anything at night say if you are on the highway where there isn't any street lamps?

50 percent tint on windshield might make it hard to see in the dark, try 70 percent. May not be as good keeping the interior cool as 50 percent but it will block out the rays
