In between the internal metal front bumper carrier and the outer plastic cover, there is some kind of foam shock absorbing layer. My question to anyone who has actually seen this: Is this a crushable foam material or does it rebound after impact (assuming the impact is not too severe)?
I've seen pictures of this in the photo record of people who have installed the M-aero bumper, but I can't tell from the photos what kind of material it is.
