Recently installed the Fox quads with ACS rear diffuser. Noticed it came with resonator tips, decided to have them removed (the resonator i.e) coz made the tips look bulky (leaving just empty tips). Love the deep throaty sound it produces. But noticed some droning at idle and around 1,500 to 2,000 rpm. Have 2 questions for you guys,
1. Does the removed resonator in the tips help eliminate drone?
2. If NO, then what should I do to get rid of the dreaded drone?

Thanks in advance guys for your help

Oh man, I'm screwed...wrong decision . Took alot of work to get them out due to the tight welding. Ahhh you win some, you lose some. Any other way (don't think I'll be able to put them back in, junked them right afterwards) to rid of the problem?

There are a few experts here, hopefully one will chime in specifically Bimmer32. He's your drone expert.

That drone you speak of at 1500-2000 rpms is common....I'm still trying to work it out of my Billy Boat muffler myself!

VT's right. The resonator tips will help reduce the droning. What kind of exhaust setup do you have? You can line half of your exhaust system with resonators, but the component that is most responsible for producing/eliminating in-cabin droning is the rear mufflers and tips.
