I decided on going with AngeliBrights (White). Which fog lights should I go with, that pair up nicely with these? Lots of members have various set-ups. Which do you think pairs best?

well it depends one what ur looking for and how much you looking to pay.. most of the people here Ive seen have "xenon" true matching bulbs quoting 4700k or w/e.. for it yo be a true HID look in the fogs, you need a HID kit along with HID bulbs.. alot of the other ones that are none HID say they are xenon "matches" and have a blueish "tint" to them making them look sorta like HID/xenons but aren't really.. so like I said its up to you as to what your looking for.. If you just want a white/bluish light from the fogs then get the ones others on the forums recomend I know many use PIAA. But if you looking for them to be crisp and have good visibility like your headlights you need an HID kit for your fog lights.. Not sure if you knew this information or not

Hi mate, I partially agree with you. I have for "our" front H3s from PIAA 4700k (my bi-xenons are 4150k) and these I ordered with my LED tails, so these bulbs have so nice bright white-blueish color that you cannot really look into them nor pic that. BTW they do not look different at all than my xenons from BMW.

I recommend you go for PIAA and save the money for else. As fogs are normally used only when there is fog and not to turn them on. I use them now to flash cars on freeway -when needed

If you like to cruise with those on, you shall install beams there and not fogs IMO.

How often do you currently use your fogs? I rarely ever use mine therefore I opted for the PIAA Xtreme White Plus. It was about $75. Then you have modders like EuroCarFan, who I know will chime in here, and have HID fogs.

4 Questions...

1. What's the difference between HID fogs and PIAA fogs?

2. What's the cost difference between the two?

3. If I go with PIAA, is 4700K what I should go with? What's the difference between 4100K and 4700K? What would match well with the xenons and the AngeliBright halo's (4100 or 4700)?

4. Where's the best place to order PIAA fogs?

I didn't know this. I just learned something new. Thanks man! It sounds like HID bulbs are not cheap, so PIAA is my best bet.

Man, I don't know if that was an insult or a compliment.

I wasn't going to chime in until VT posted. The main reason I chose real HID bulbs is because when I changed my lowbeams to 6000K HIDs, I got the PIAA GT-X 6000K xenon-look bulbs to match but they were waaaaay off.

4. Where's the best place to order PIAA fogs?
1. When people say HID (High Intensity Discharge), they're usually referring to real HID lighting that usually includes ballasts, ignitors and real xenon bulbs (bulbs filled with xenon gas which are ignited providing high intensity lighting at lower wattage compared to regular halogen bulbs). PIAA is a manufacturer that makes real HID bulbs (PIAA Super Cobalt) as well as xenon-look bulbs (the latter is what most people are referring to on this forum).
2. Real HID bulbs are usually 2-3 times more than xenon-look bulbs. Some even more dependingon brand. For Example, you can get PIAA xenon-look bulbs for about $75 a set but their Super Cobalt HID bulbs are about $380 a set. Some examples of other xenon-look bulb manufacturers include Xenesis Tru-Match and the Sylvania Silverstars. Some examples of real HID manufacturers are Philips Ultinon and Hella. Actually some manufacturers make both types.
2a. I had to make this a separate point. If you're considering switching your foglights to real HIDs, you can't just buy HID bulbs because the factory bulbs are wired for halogen lighting. You'll have to buy a complete HID conversion kit which includes ballasts, ignitors and HID bulbs. You can find some conversion kits for around $280 or even as high as $800.
3. It seems like most people use 4150K, 4300K, or 4700K. Supposedly, the higher the kelvin temperature, the more blue or purple the lighting gets. However, the higher you go, the less light output (measured in lumens) you get. I believe 5500K-6000K has the most output. Going higher will get you more bluish or purplish lighting but it'll be less bright. I believe the stock xenon lowbeams are around 4200K-4300K and the AngiliBrights are about 5000K (not sure on this one, you should check with Custom Angel Eyes).
4. I would just look on eBay.

Hope that helps.
