Long story short, needed to replace my fogs after they were stolen and the new part according to my vin does not look like what I use to have. The old ones were projector type fog lights; the new one are ordinary looking where you can see the bulb through the glass. Can anyone help with part numbers since bmw is useless. Thanks.

Sounds like the old ones were aftermarket - the clear lens ones are what is OEM. Motorcepts should be chiming in real soon

Really? I bought the car brand new from the dealership...and the ones that were on there were definitely projector type fogs.

I would still definitely contact John@Motorcepts, he's our resident lighting guru and he can get you sorted.

Stolen? Wow. How did that happen?

FYI, any aftermarket fog lights do not fit well and easily have water condensation. I would go with OEM. Yes they are a little more expensive but well worth it.

Yes stolen, bastards practically ripped my bumper off to get them. Can you confirm that there is only 1 oem fog light for the m aero kit? The projector type one that I had on there really looked oem. I believe it even had the cross hatching on the mounting plate that matches the insert in the middle of my bumper. However looking around online, it looks like there is only one part number for aero package.

If they were projector, they were definitely not factory. I don't know any car makes that use projector for fogs.
