2004 E60, i have installed HID Fog lights.

I got a wiring kit, that allowed me to wire into the driver side only, to get the signal, that powered a relay that allows the fog lights to get power.

It works great the fog lights work, i am good with wiring. 85 and 86 go to the fog light wiring in the car, and 87 and 30 connect 12v to the Positive side of the HID kit.

there is also a resistor inline inbetween 85 and 86, how do i know if the resistor supplied is correct, and also, it doesnt come with a resistor to install in the passenger side, and it leaves me with error codes for both sides.

Can i go to radio shack and purchase two of these resistors to trick the computer into thinking that the fogs are installed? if so what do i need to get?

Finally when turning the ignition on, the fog lights flash a couple of times i assume it is warning you that there is an error?

thanks
Louie

Were the HID fog lights error code free to begin with before you installed the wiring kit? If not then you'll need a some canceler cables which I can sell to you.

What kind of kit do you have?
