No you are all correct. I just didnt go into that much detail... and I assumed his car was only running the old Halogen bulbs.

Its because i feel that the lights from my 2004 530 wasnt that strong so i thought that the lights would be the same for the new m5 or is it actually the same?Yea if its the same then i want to switch to something brighter cuz in indonesia the streets are dark!

Oh in that case you can forget about it. You cant change out the Lights on the E60 Xenons. They are projection xenons not your regular "bulb" kind.

Thats why I asked earlier what car were you referring to.

M5 has the projection xenons so you're out of luck.

Ok let me re-phrase... with money you can do ANYTHING... but at $1K USD a piece for the whole head light... Ummmm... plus I dont know if anyone makes a different Temperature rated unit that would fit the E60 yet.

Uh..I'm almost positive you can. The e60 xenon bulbs are D2S. PIAA makes Super Cobalt xenon D2S replacement bulbs for about $390 a pair at a higher Kelvin temperature (6600K) for a more bluish/purplish output. www.umnitza.com also carries other D2S replacement bulbs as welll.

As you correctly noted in your post above, a higher Kelvin temperature rating actual causes a less bright light output, so if m5lover wants brighter lights, he should get a lower Kelvin rating (than the 4200K BMW bi xenons).
