Im trying to find the right color (K) with a standard bulb that can match as close as possible to my headlights. I dont want the yellow looking fogs that I currently have now.

I dont want HID's either, dont wanna bother looking for a place to tuck the ballast away.

I know I had read somewhere on some PIAA or another brand that some people used.

Anyone have a link to some bulbs that I could replace the OEM ones with??

Thanks

I've tried so many different bulbs from PIAA, OSRAM, Narva,...etc., but I'm extremely happy with ones from here: http://www.hoen-usa.com/fog.htm

I personally like fogs as yellow as can be as can be seen here, I chose their "Endurance" bulbs, but they do have the "Xenonmatch" as well which will work. They are $29.99/set and I have never had to replace a set from them. They've always outlasted the known brands, and the light output is great.

Hope this helps!

Thanks! Good price too... still haven't checked how much shipping is.

It says the xenon match are 4000k. I would've thought the OEM headlights look like something between 6-8000k.

That is odd, I didn't actually read the whole description...hrmnnnn, 4000k is definitely not white enough, you are right about the color temp though. You could try GP Thunder H8 7500k as I use these for my angel eyes...they're a pretty close match and have lasted a while.

(BTW...link was just a quick example, you can probably find them for less on eBay or Google Shopping)

That's close... Stock xenon bulbs are 4300k. The only reason your xenons look white is because stock projector lenses are cloudy and filters the light to appear whiter than it really is. Just as the people I have done the clear lens swap, they'll tell ya

So the 4000k should do it right?

Fairly close. I mean it's all subjective and relative to expectation at the end of the day.

I tried using standard bulbs and had great luck with matching with the GP Thunders but their light output was awful and I just sprung for HIDs and its a great difference.
