It's Sunday night and BMW service is not open and I've got a question that is erking to get answered by an e60 member...

Other than air flow, what is the Flap Control designed to do?

My Ride: 2006 BMW 550i

others have mentioned for noise at idle, but it might also help with torque at low engine speeds.
