Did you ask a dealer to fit your Aux Input ? Be grateful if you can share details, cost - my dealer is quoting c?300 to ?400 to install due to labour.

Yes, my aux input was fitted by my dealer for ?150 all in - the parts cost is minimal but they will require 1 hours worth of labour to fit - see this PDF attachment.

?300 - ?400 is way too much. I think most (UK) owners will concur that it shouldn't cost more than about 160.
