hi, so some of you might have seen my older post asking about relocating my aux port form the back of the center console to the front. first of all, thank you all that were able to help. so i finally finished it and think it turned out pretty well, the jack doesn't look the best but there aren't that many options. i took some pics incase anyone was interested.

this is the original plug that had to be cut off. the wire then needs to be separated from the rest of the harness running down the center center console and routed to the front where the new jack will be mounted:

This is where i decided to mount it.

Housing needed some trimming and trunk switch needed a hole for the wire.

Finished product

ya, i would have liked to have been able to use the factory one but its impossible in that spot. that truck switch is actually the size of that entire black panel (the switch and the blank) not just the size of the switch button itself like i thought it would be.

dont know what made BMW put that damn AUX port on the BACK of the center console. maybe germans are used to having someone drive them while they sit in the back lol.

great! i must ask, howd you get that panel off? did it just clip off? or did you have to undo everything form the AC vents down to that?
