These mirrors require a mtor transplant from your originals to the new shell. So this allows you to keep all of the normal moving functions of the glass, including passenger reverse (Auto Dip). They are not heated and are not auto dim, but at night I compared it to my center rear view mirror and there was not much of a light difference if any.

After preparing my door for it's new mirrors, I finally got to put them on the third day. Each day I spent at least 2 hours trying to figure out how the originals are plugged into the module, and how to take them out. The second day I thought to my self hell yeah, Im about to put these bad boys on, but nope. The last torx screw got stripped due to my cheesy tools. I took my car to my buddy's body shop and we drilled that sucker out.

Heres some pix.

I spoke with one of Garry's assistants at BMW of Newport for pricing on OEM M5 mirrors.

$285.92 each mirror assembly PLUS

$278.34 for Dirver's side mirror glass and $291.41 for the pass side mirror glass.

$1141.59 before shipping YIKES !
