His signature says he does. I have that too. I guess I should remove that cover piece that blocks the sensor.... hahaha Totally forgot about it.

Actually, your kit should have come with a pice to trim the ACC sensor. The kooks at the body shop put the solid one over my sensor the first time and threw away the one that was supposed to be used. Luckily my buds at Brecht BMW hooked me up with a replacement piece.

I did not know they offer a trim piece for the ACC sensor. The M Tech Kit only came in two styles, one with PDC and one without. I have a solid piece covering the sensor right now so if what you say is true, I will definitely run to the dealer to check on it. Thanks for the heads up.

how much does the m kit cost ? installed? im interested in getting just the front part....what do you guys think that will run me painted from my local bmw dealer?

by the way, im new to this board...

proud owner of a 2005 530i
alpine white with all the goods....

i look forward to talking to you guys in the future!!
MSRP for the kit from the dealer is $1690 but you can negotiate down. I got mine for $1450. I've seen prices as low as $1280. Tell us where you're located and we can help get you find a good deal. Paint and install run anywhere from $1K to $1500. I got mine done for $1100. So total with parts, paint and labor can run from a low of $2500 to as high as $4K.

Anyway, welcome to the forum and congrats on your new ride!!

The short answer is yes, you can purchase just that part. Just make sure your dealer gets you every piece that's required for that front apron such as foglights, clips, brake ducts...etc...

I just don't know the price for just the front piece.

EUROCARFAN,

Have the dealer show you the instructions for the kit. The document part nuber is 01 29 0 398 692. On page three there is a picture of everything in the kit. Item "I" is called "right trim (cars with active cruise control only). Item "J" is the standard right trim...

Good luck!!

If you guys decide to do the Ortega Hwy, be sure to post it on the Meet and Greets...I'd be interested if it's after the New Year...I think others may be interested as well.
