So Finally I got my new wheels and after a long time wondering and reading iti become M166.
And I have 245/40-19 front and 275/35-19 rear with the M5 ET 28.
Some thing I notice is that on the front rims it is marked BBS but not on the rear wheel it is only BMW no and marks.
Any have a clue is it beacuse diffrent fabrication in time or something or is it not BBS who manufacture the rear rims.
Tires I got Dunlop Sport Maxx, works good so far.

So finally the summer arrive

I like that you tried the bigger tire size than is typical, whether on purpose or by accident. I'd like to try this on my next set of tires....but I doubt I'd want to risk rubbing the liner up front.

Wheels look great!

Looks great

I had the Michalin PS2s last time and also went for the Dunlop Sportmaxx this time. I also moved from an E60 to an E61, so its difficult to judge how different the tyres are. To be honest, I have not really noticed any difference, which is good because I was already very pleased the Michalins. So like yourself, so far so good

Wheels look great!

It was no accident, my car have no sport suspension and I wanted to fill up the fenders.
I have calculated and tried some ather wheels to be shore, On our BMW dealer where I bought my wheels there was a 530D 06 with Sport suspension and M package as your, have exact the same tires on M172 wheels. Can't tell if any problem.

i have seen now that the left front tire rubs a litte when turning full to right, but in my case It was the only issue I was
worried about after all calculating and testing. When turning full the speed is wery low and the plastic inner fenders is soft and goes away.
So I am happy.
I tested same tire on a 8x19 with ET20 and there it was a gap for a few mm or 1/4".
On the M166 it is ET12 so thats way a bigger radius when turning.
