Many of us in NY with 20" wheels keep 40lbs of pressure in our tires all the time. Buy one of the good digital air pressure monitors and keep it in your trunk. Every few weeks, check and make sure it's still at 40 psi. Should you ever hit a road hazard, blowing the tire and saving the wheel is a much better option.
I have 20's and I drive in the city all the time, BQE, SI Expressway, FDR, Queens, and I haven't had a problem. I just drive slower and more careful. If i know of a bump on a certain highway, just slow down.
so get the 20's!!
I keep it at 41-42 PSI. Check it every week or so.

Front - 245/35/20
And
Rear - 275/30/20 or 285/30/20
That is what I am running, as is many others. I am lowered on MRR 20's, with zero rubbing.

I have the mrr's in 20's and I like them, only concern is the machined polished lip which is hard to keep clean, I am probably going to powdercoat the lip gloss-black w/a "red time attack outside the lip"or get it triple chromed. what do you guys think?

i heard that the polished lip is a PITA to keep clean...thats why im pushing towards the vmr's i believe they are chrome. im driving myself crazy with this sh!t...i have to decide
