haha no they are not the magnetic ones. I cut the holes myself and the grills aren't fitting in flush at the moment. Need to grind the edges more to get a perfect fit, but it's a matter of me having the time to do it. To be fair, even after i fit them flush they will still stick out slightly. It will never fit like the OEM fender grills on the m5
