Default Feeding cable/wire through to trunk under back seat rest

Hello Guys,

I'm trying to feed speaker cable from my under seat woofers (and from the speaker level signal supply to these woofers) to the trunk.

I'm having difficult passing the cable into the trunk. Is there a way of doing this without removing the back seat rest?

I have removed the rear bottom seat but can't find any passage in the corner between the bottom seat and the back rest to pass the cable through.

Any suggestions?

E60 btw. No fold down backrest.

It's very difficult to do unless you unlatch one side of the seat back. Just get in the trunk head first and on your back. Look up at the rear shelf and you will see two latches. Take a flat blade screw driver and slide the lock to unlock the back seat. You only need to do the side where you want to route the cable. Then its much easier to route the cable and not damage anything. When you are finished, just push on the seat back while inside the car and it will lock.

Yes I've removed the rear bottom seat... Just need to pass wire into trunk. How do you do that?

like what tony said. unde rthe rear deck their are two little square holes, they have latches in them, get a flat blade and pull it, the push back on the seat, it should release one side then do the same to the other hole and latch. i actually think i filmed how to do this when filming a DIY on how to install rear view camera, i ill see if i still have the footage, i ended up not finishing the project as i wanted use a different camera module but i do remember filming the wiring part

Your welcome. Maybe your post was enough to pull Roskinc out of hiding, he's been missing in action for quite some time!
