Ok guys I will add some feedback
THERE IS MORE TO THE SOFTWARE THAT JUST HP/TQ GAINS!!!
1. Throttle response - Is extremely better, my normal mode feels like its in sport and my sport mode feels like it should have come from the factory.
2. Increased redline - Redline gets a much needed bump in RPM's. With the ability to acheive more road speed in each gear, my car would out accelerate a stock 550 even if the software added no HP/TQ
3. Top Speed Gov. - None (tested out myself)
4. (Last but not least) Hp/Tq - Although the gains are modest all of the other benefits make this car seem so much more responsive. Do you think you might notice if your car lost 8-10 hp same thing in the other direction
Bottom line is I could not go back to stock.
Here is another story from Roleez, has Dinan software also.

I have Dinan software on my 545 also and I can confirm all the comments made by JetBlack and Roleez. Freed0m has also driven my car and has commented on how much crisper the throttle response was. My 545 with all the Dinan mods seem to be more responsive and quick on the revs than my M5.

My Ride: 2006 550i M-Sport in Titanium Silver Metallic w/ HUD, Logic 7, iPod Interface, SAT, NAV, Style M-172 wheels
Thanks for the feedback everyone!
I am going to do the upgrade. I am not as concerned with the pure horse power gain as I am with throttle response improvement. My 550i sometimes seems like it hesitates a touch, and then can be a little jerky off of the line. I am hoping to see some improvement in this area.
I just added the K&N air filter yesterday, and now I just need to figure out where the closest Dinan Dealer is to Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks again!

Yep. I should clarify that it's out of the starting blocks that I feel this difference. The Dinan 545 is more instantaneous and revs quicker whereas there's a bit of hesitancy on the M5. Not sure if it's the CIP version I'm on but I'm hoping upgraded software from either RDSport or Dinan (that might be 10 years from now if I'm lucky ), will improve the throttle response. For now, I think the short term solution might be the Sprint Booster.
