Fan is driving me nuts

My Ride: 2004 BMW 545i Sport Package, Titanium Gray II Metallic, Wheel Style 124
recently had E-box fan replaced apparently it was shorted out... now that i got this fan replaced its driving me nuts imagine air flowing through a vent at medium speed , from behind the glove compartment, the purpose of this fan is to cool the Electronic box, i would be happy if it didn't notice the fan
is this normal i am having a difficult time concentrating im constantly turning on/off my AC thinking that its turned on
