You need to switch the macro mode on your camera on. The close ups are blurred.

But at least that confirms that the fog, turn and reverse are normal bulbs. Now I need to understand how the resistor pack and the capacitor pack is connected.

So are only the tail light and brake light LEDs or anything else. From the picture it seems like there are 2 load resistors in the resistor pack so I'd be surprised if there were more than 2 sets of LEDs.
I dont know if it has 2set, but I can see there are side LED and brake LED

Can you tell me the part number of just the black connector that connects into the old E60 wiring harness (I am not looking for the e46 retrofit kit). I have the connector that connects into the LCI LED lights which is part #12527519956. I need the connector at the other end.

Thank in advance.

First set of completely "plug and play" cables are ready and going out to a guy on the M5 board.

Attachment 32164

These are made from all OEM parts and a heavy duty heat sinked Resistor specially designed for LED lights, just in case its needed. The only OEM part I couldn't find was the fabric tape used for wiring looms, my dealer ran out of stock of them. The tape used is fabric tape but the shiny type not the cloth type that BMW uses. The cables have absolutely no cuts of splicing in the cables. All joints are soldered at the connectors itself.

This cable will not have the LCI lights effect but will light up all the new LEDs etc. All original functions of the car should be retained i.e. Brake, Fog, Brake Force Display, Reverse, Turn and Daytime Running Lights.

Any one else interested can PM me. This is the cheapest of the cables. I'll be introducing more variations later once I can do some more work on these and I receive my own set of lights to test out my cables.

I'm away most of next week so in case you don't hear from me you know why.

I heard rumours (from Germany) that the OEM retrofit kit is already out, price is around 170-190 Eur. a little modules included and coding is needed

Can someone in Germany confirm with your dealers?
