have a pair of m5 fenders and a pair of f10 side blinkers and was wondering if I should fill the holes where the grills go in the m5 fenders and replace the blinkers with the cooler ones from the f10, what do you think?
my car is a bmw m5 with a little more than 200hp so such a distinctive m5 feature as the side grills may not be my best bet when modding the car.
so my options are:
1) fill the holes and put the f10 side grills
2) fill the holes and leave the little side blinkers that came stock with the m5 fenders.
3) don't fill the hole and use the m5 grills, and leave the little side blinkers that came stock with the m5 fenders.
thanks for your help guys. I really want the opinion of the guys from the best e60 forum on the net so I can be positive I'm not screwing things up.
this are the f10 blinkers I have:

Just do what you think will look good.

This hasn't been done before, so feel free to give it a go.

I'm sorry but I am having such a hard time understanding this. You say you have an M5 with just over 200hp? What kind of car do you have? Obviously this is incorrect.

Are you wanting to NOT have M5 vents at all or just replace the e60 M5 vents with f10 vents?

IF you actually have an M5 (which I don't think is the case) and you have a set of extra fenders then I would probably insert the f10 fender grilles and see what it looks like. If they look cool then great. If not you can retain your old fenders.

The side markers on the f10 M5 are part of the vents no? I did see the pic you posted but those are side blinkers from a non-M car I believe.

I think what you are wanting to know is:

Should you mount the M5 fenders as they are-Answer No
Should you mount the fenders replacing the e60 grilles with f10 grilles-Answer No
Should you mount the fenders and fill the e60 grill holes-Answer Yes (best of all options but why? Wanting a little more width? Keep in mind that you will need to space your wheels or go wider with them because they won't be flush. The M5 offset is quite different.)

All of my answers above are based upon the assumption that you do not have an M5 currently. If you DO have an M5 then I would try my first suggestion about the f10 grilles above for sure.

Best of luck!

sorry, my bad. My car is a 525i e60, I made a mistake. I bought m5 fenders to retrofit em but I want to fill the hole where the m5 side grills (side vents) go and replace the turn light signal with the non m5 f10 ones(the one in the pic posted above). it should look sleeker and not looking like a m5 wannabe, more like a non m5 f10 wannabe, which I don't know if would be acceptable by the non written rules of e60 owners. btw, I have wider wheels and spacers so I'm looking to get the wider stance. thanks

Makes much more sense now! Keep the OEM M5 fenders as they are in my opinion. They look great!

well, I decided to keep the grilles as there wasn't anyone willing to work on aluminum to fill the grill holes in my area as they told me the fenders would most probably crack. it's a real shame as I don't want anyone looking at my car and believing it's an m5 just to go nahh! when they see I lack the power

I have em if you're interested. got em from my dealer at 50 bucks each, can sell em to you for a little less than tischer charges. let's say 40 bucks each (almost 8 dollars less). let me know if you want em.
