Hey,

I want to upgrade all my exterior lights pre-LCI to LEDs since some of my lights are out, could you guys give me some guidance in which kind and style LED bulbs would be best and affordable for each type of light like projector, non-projector, SMD, etc. for these upgrades that I can get from eBay or a better source. I plan to get the car coded so there's no need to run resistors or spend the extra money for error free LED bulbs.

DRL/High Beam H7 Bulbs: I was thinking white something like these?

Front turn signals: I believe they're 3156 bulbs, or are 3457 a better choice? I want amber color and really don't know which kind to go with these:

Side Marker Bulbs: I believe these are T10 bulbs and i was thinking about amber Projector style since they're kind of exposed like:

Rear turn signals: I'm not quite sure which bulbs are the right one for the rear turn signals but I amber as well, can someone recommend the right bulb and style

Brake bulbs (inner circle): I want to get these spider 5 arm style b/c I think they will stand out and look nice in the housing but I don't know which one back side one is needed:

then there's 2 brake/rear fog bulbs for outer brake lights that I want to change out too but i'm not quite sure what bulb size they are but for these I was just thinking some standard style SMD LEDs or something like these so you could see the shape of the LED bulbs so it can stand out a little more with the 5 arm Spider LED inner brake lights.

Last but not least the reverse bulb, not sure which bulb this is either but I was thinking projector style for these so their nice and bring at night since my rear window is tinted and can be hard to see sometimes when reversing.

i wanted to do the drl and the brake too, let us know with some pic if you actually tried it out.

as for the brake like we can just take out our current blub to take a quick look.

what i most worry is they might triger some error for the car thinking the light bulb are out? i am having trouble with 1 of my license plate led now.

 

... yup ... the million bucks question is ... will any of those bulbs trigger iDrive warning ... ... I bet they will ...

 

I actually edited my OP for the H7 bulb options to the new links posted that I think are better choices and cheaper too. They're cree projector style bulbs. I went with the 1st one (http://www.ebay.com/itm/360534335645...84.m1439.l2649) b/c the projector is .2 bigger then the 2nd choice and in the pictures they seem to be the brighter and whiter option. I think they will fit in nicely in the pre-lci headlights too since the bulbs are in a silver housing and has a little projector on the tip.

they probably will cause iDrive errors but I plan to fully upgrading all my bulbs then coding them out
