Hi, looking for some guidance...I'm looking for a set of black exhaust tips to fit on my OEM 535xi exhaust. Does BMW make them? If so, does anyone have a part number? Thanks for your assistance!

 

i did a little looking last week, couldn't find anything. I decided to paint mine, actually did the painting today. They look pretty awesome, and it was cheap (about 10 bucks). I used Rustoleum High Temp Primer and High Temp gloss black engine enamel. The tips don't get that hot so I think the high temp paint will work really well. I'll post up some pics when I put em back on in a couple days (making sure they're totally dry and set before I touch em)

 

Be warned. I bought a set of magna flow exhaust tips and was dealt this surprise.




The pipes on our xi's (maybe others?) make an odd curve after the muffler to the rear really limiting the length of aftermarket replacements. I'm getting my old tips powder coated black. Though I suppose painting them would work.

I've seen a thread with the black tips for sale in the classifieds recently.

i looked and the only ones i could find were sold. either way, does anyone know the part number to oem black tips? i couldn't find them on realoem or anything?
