Question Exhaust recommendations - 2010 E60 535xi

Hey all,

Looking for some recommendations on an exhaust for my 2010 535xi M-sport. I'm looking for something that isn't too loud, but rather giving my vehicle a nice note over current stock exhaust. Anyone have any recommendations and if so video links to hear the sound?

Thanks in advance!

I have heard that the Dinan muffler provides a nice note, with minimal performance gain. There are a few others in the vendor classifieds that have options, but I dont know much about them. A few members on here went to a full custom exhaust set-up.

The dinan is the one with the best sound but happens to be the most expensive. Not too loud but a definite head turner.

+1 for the dinan stuff even if it's a little pricey. knew a guy in seattle who had it on his 2008 550i. sounded great. sounded better than my setup.

I think I may add the Dinan with a Dr Euro downpipe to my baby. There are a few video clips of exhaust on youtube, I think the Dinan sound was the best. If you want something a little more aggresive, go with a RPI and if you want a quad setup, I personally liked the umnitza setup.

I love the sound of the RPI but it was not available when I was looking so I went with a Magnaflow catback since that was readily available at a great price. Now that RPI is available again, I would look into getting one of them over the Dinan since it is a full set up, especially since you are adding down pipes, too.

The problem is RPI will not fit an XI or I would've been all over it myself. Shame because the 20HP gain is nice. Definitely overpriced but its a full catback where as the Dinan is overpriced but just the muffler.

This kind of is my thinking as well. But the RPI system is a little more aggressive than the Dinan as far as sound and I am adding a DP into the mix which will be that much more. I don't want my system to be over bearing but I do want to know I have a little grunt.
