My Ride: 04 545i Sport Pkg, Cold Weather, Nav
I have noticed that there is an exceptional amount of brake dust from the factory pads installed on my 04 545 sport. I have to clean the wheels every 4-5 days because they look so bad, just after normal driving. Sooner under harder braking.
Has anybody ever used a different brand than oem and have any recommendations on aftermarket brands?
I also have the maintenance warranty on my car as well. Maybe the dealer has a better option too when I go and have them replaced, possible "Ceramic w/ low dust". Hopefully they wont charge me for the upgraded pads. Yeah right!
Thanks

In the mean time though if your not going to replace the pads right away use a good wheel wax on the rims and that can usually buy you a few extra days to an extra week depending on your driving.

I plan to change mine out with Axxis pads in Spring. I use this product for now

I was told that when you need to change brake pads, that you need to do BOTH the pads and the rotors at the same time. Is that true?
