Four months after buying my CPO '04, all of my interior tweaks are complete:
- iPod AUX, with 4th gen 40GB iPod in glovebox and Griffin AirClick remote on console to randomly play favorite Playlist.
- Garmin nuvi 680 nav, semi-permamantly (disc) mounted to iDrive shelf.
- BlueTooth activated (in car, via iDrive...not utilizing nuvi's BlueTooth), nicely paired w/ BlackBerry 8830 World Edition.
- "Goof-Off" removal of yellow/black warning labels on visors.

(Yeah, I know, I have to find a way to hide that black Garmin power/traffic antennae wire.)

Now, let the exterior mods begin! (I mean, besides the "555" badge, that is... )

It looks good. I have the Garmin nuvi 660. How did you mount it?

Brian,
I used that round plastic "permanent mounting disc" that comes with the nuvi, and placed the disc's adhesive ring in the far right (toward the front lip) part of the iDrive shelf, after really cleaning the shelf surface well. So far, so good. Reach is easy, eyes stay fairly level with windshield (slight dip).

The MSN-driven 'traffic alert' feature of the Garmin nuvi 680 is amazing, and highly useful here in "freeway hell" Southern California. That's really why I bought this model. (I know the freeways/roads well...)

The wire is not that hard to hide from there. Just remove the wood trim, then you can route behind it and down behind the glove box to get to the accessory plug. This is how I did my XM unit.
