Euro reflectors

I try to intall euro reflector myself, but it can not be remove at all, i even scratch my bumper a little, I was thinking to bring my car to the BMW dealer for them to install it for me,Anyone know how much it will cost me? By the way how did you remove it without scratch your bumper?

Dude!! Listen!! If it takes you more than 3 minutes to do the job, you are doing something seriously wrong!!

The dealer will charge you 1 hr of labor ($150/hr) to do this... so listen up carefully how to do this!!

1) Take the screw driver out of your trunk

2) Put on the "Philip" head side (that's the side that looks like a cross)

3) Goto your reflector, lightly point the philip head on the OUTSIDE of the reflector (this means if you are on the left reflector your outside is your left most point of your refelctor) and slightly tug under the bumper plug refelector and lightly "pop" the edge out. If the plug is not coming off you are doing something wrong. <_< Re-read my instruction.

Now... it all goes well... this whole process should take you 1.5 minute. Now pull out your check book and send me $75 (1/2 of what the dealer would have charged you ) and send it to me

I would not use a screw driver. You just scratch your paint. I used dental floss and it came out nicely. I put 3 pieces of dental floss, each about 2 feet long behind the plastic insert. I went in from the side that is closest to the license plate. Give it a good tuck and the insert pop's out. You can then install the red reflector. Good luck! You can send the $75 to me.

My Ride: 2004 545i - 6 speed manual (July 04 build), silver-grey/black, sports package std equipment (18", active roll, active steering, adaptive headlights), premium sound, bluetooth enabled, folding rear seat, lumbar, 3m hood/bumper protective film, rear tint, euro reflectors.

If you already scratched your bumper, this might not by your cup of tea.

For the price of the car, your SA should pop them out himself.

I ordered the reflectors at the time I ordered my car and they installed them prior to delivery. Granted, they did this before they had thier money.

I used 5 pieces of dental floss together and still manage to break them LOL... I ended up using a piece of white string. Worked great. I must have weak dental floss...

i just used regular sawing string to do this job~ it took less than 5 minutes for both sides~

I second the dental floss, or some type of strong string.

I'd be wary of a screwdriver as the flat head marks can still be seen on my bumper, even after padding with a towel.

When I picked up my car (Redelivery) I asked the dealer to put in a set of rear reflectors and they put them in FREE of charge.They only cost$11.90 each, not that much for any dealer to give you paying $50,000+ for a car.
