I had the passport and sold it. I have the V1 and will never live without the arrows again. Did I mention the Passport failed me and I got a speeding ticket? You will never get me to leave the V1 unless someone else comes out with the arrows...period!

explain how come I slowed down 2 seconds earlier than the ferrari next to me with a V1.
But then I was the one who was trying to figure out which direction the signal came from. 
I WISH the passport came with arrows. I was going to get a V1 but the reviews of the 9500ix was so good. Red light camera alerts, speed traps, signal lockout for false alarms, wow! My radar detector is about 50% quieter. When it goes off, 70% chance it's real.

I mean with the V1 there are a lot of falses but I can pretty much tell if its a cop or not. MOST CHP use Ka. You know when its a Ka, 99% chance its a CHP. You also learn to read the strength bar and can tell a solid signal from a fluctuating one.
IMO: V1 if you do mostly freeway driving and passport if you are in the city a lot and there are red light cameras etc.

I'm happy with my Passport 9500ix. The GPS and false alert learning features are great. I have no regrets that I didn't get the V1.
