Escort Passport 9500ix or Valentine 1

I'm in the UK and looking to get a decent radar detector. Most of the reviews and Google searching comes up with information for USA but I'm not sure if all the information applies to UK (especially with all the frequency bands etc).
I'm currently thinking that it's a toss up between Escort Passport 9500ix or Valentine 1. Does anyone have any opinions on either of these especially in UK?

9500 consistently gets ranked higher in tests, plus it has the speedcam/red light memory feature. v1 owners will always tell you the v1 is better, when there really is no substantiating evidence supporting that fact. the v1 beats the 9500 in a couple of tests, but not overall. at the end of the day, they'll both do the same job probably.

It may be a moot point for me because I can't find anywhere in UK that sells the 9500ix. There's only a few places that sell the Valentine 1 as it is.

if u want arrows, get the V1. If you want GPS, get the Escort. We were cruising yesterday with a bunch of people. The Ferrari next to me had the V1. I had the 9500. I slowed down maybe 2 seconds before he did when the radat went off.

Something I've not been able to find out is whether the 9500ix has 360 radar and laser detection. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

I've always been a Passport guy. I have a 9500 in the 545 and the full SRX system with laser diffusers built into the Viper. I only know one person with a V1 and he loves it, but his falses a good bit more than my Passports do.
