Bruce, these are the same ones. I was the beta tester.
- JST connectors were used instead of OEM to keep cost down. They still fit snug in the OEM housing.
- I've been running these resistors for over a year without any heat issues in the warm SoCal weather (temps upwards of 100? F) and hot dessert road trips to Vegas and Palm Dessert (120?+). They also have survived cold climates, as Chris can attest to since he lives in NY.
The OEM BMW Plate Light LED's are handsdown the best looking out there. If diffuses the light perfectly over the plate area and gives off a nice white cast (not too blue or green, like most aftermarket LED's).

Just to confirm, these do work with LCI's, same results as with pre-LCI? Also, can someone confirm part number for the OEM LED
from realoem.com for the e92's: "LICENSE PLATE LAMP, LED 63267193293"
Anyone know the price from Gary (think I read it's about ~$30). Or is it just easier/same price from a local dealer?

Problem is dealer don't stock this item, it takes a day to two to get them in.
Brought mine from Circle BMW

As for them working with LCI or pre-LCI, I it has been tested to work on a pre-LCI with no problems. As for with LCI, haven't been tested on one yet.

Aren't these the same as knightcom was selling, the pictures similar. Same comments - why not use OEM plugs and that resistor will get too hot for no real reason.
But otherwise good luck with the sale, it looks like a good product.

As for the OEM plugs, when ordered with the part #, they only come with the plastic plug and no pins. It was a real pain to find the part #'s and getting it all right since it appears to be mixed up during the model years between late 07 and early 08.
On top of that, the pins require a special tool to attach them and it costs $90 just for the tool...so we're looking at further expense (think $7 more at least I suppose) plus assembly of the connector is required on top of that.
So to keep costs down, it only costs $1.98 for the JST connector and it comes assembled already with wires that just had to be soldered to the rest of the harness and heatshrunk for appearance and protection.

Tried to create shipping labels and apparently it appears USPS website is down today. Will ship them out tomorrow morning if the USPS online shipping website is back up.
