Title reads better, I am sure your experience here will be better...those "other" forums ....

***we have a number of 6 and 7 series owners here, have these models been tested as well?
If you know anyone who has a 6 or 7 series and can take a picture of the plug face (unplugged and showing pins), it'd be a good start to figure out if it may work.

Same here, I replaced my plate lights with LEDs bulbs months ago and haven't had any issues. No harness used.

Good luck with the sale
Just to make it clear, this is for those who have halogen plate lamps as standard on the car and want to convert to the OEM plate LED's that BMW currently puts on '08 and up E90/92's.

I'm sure your LED bulbs has a resistor built into them to avoid setting off a error

The ones on the '08 and up E90/92 has LED's built into the housing and BMW deleted the code on checking the resistance of the plate lamps due to the LED's installed.

Yup, you're correct, I have halogen plate lamps and my LED bulb has a built-in resistor.

Here are pictures of my car with aftermarket LED versus OEM BMW LED. NOTICE the difference.

OEM BMW (left side) versus aftermarket LED on right.

Looking forward to this comparison

***even the aftermarket LED's (like the ones I have) with the built in resistors do give off a small amount of heat as well

Trust me Gene, Ive spent up to $100 worth of license bulbs, I know the OEM lights works the best.

I've been running them in my ride for about a year now without any issues. It has withstood the warm SoCal weather. So purchase with confidence!

Aren't these the same as knightcom was selling, the pictures similar. Same comments - why not use OEM plugs and that resistor will get too hot for no real reason.

But otherwise good luck with the sale, it looks like a good product.
