enable MP3 for 6 stacked

Hi guys,

I spoke with my dealer today regarding having a software update to allow play back of MP3's by the 6 stacker in the glove box, i was told that as my production date was pre Septemebr 05 it could not be done. As usual i like to double check what ever the dealer tells me on this foum as from past experience they generally have any idea what they are talking about?

There was rumours that the LCI CD Changer would be MP3 enabled but so far I've not heard any one confirm that. Prior to the LCI no matter what your build date the changer is not MP3 capable. I think your dealer is confusing the indash CD player with your question.

For a long time BMW claimed the 6CDC would be MP3 capable as of builds 03/2007. I too have not heard that feature confirmed as true. However, your dealer is correct in saying no reporgramming will make your 6CDC play MP3s at least from SOP to March 07 builds.
