My Ride: 2004 530i with Nav, Prem, 20 inch Breyton Race GTS, H&R Sport, M-technic Kits, Valentine One with Concealed Display, Progman 27, M5 Aluminum iDrive Knob, Euro Sticker Headlights, LED license Plate.
Installed the eisenmann race yesterday and very disappointed with how it sounds.. it is so quite.. Today, had the resonator removed and it sounds better. However, it is still doesn't sound as good as I thought it would be.. In idle and around 1k-1750 rpm, it is nice. However, above 2k rpm, it's gone.. Where is the nice screaming growl of the eisenmann???
I had the eisenmann (race version as well) in my 2004 c class and it sounds like hell. It is so darn loud. I didn't like it. Now, this one sounds so quite.. I am confused..

There are two cylindrical resonators behind the primary cats that can also be removed. That'll give you the sound you want.

How do you differentiate the look between race and sport eisenmann exhaust?

Mine only has one resonator (rectangular).. maybe because 2004 car has older engine than the 2005+

All e60s, regardless of model year, have three resonators. One rectangular box resonator and two cylindrical resonator (as seen in the pics here). Remove these two and you will get the sound you want, but will probably also get some droning and raspiness.

After reviewing realoem, you are correct. There are no cyclindrical resonators for the 2004 530i, but for the 2005 530i and after, there is. Thanks for the clarification.
