I have the eisemman race exhaust on my 545i and its just about perfect. I love the exhaust note and when you fit around 3400 rpms it opens up and starts to screammmm. Little drone around 85 but normal 65 mph driving you can barely hear it.

Thanks for the replies. I will be interested in the results from IronB's exhaust. Is it a normal Sport model with a valve set up or the one with the more traditional 1 in, 2 out rear mufflers?

Cheers,

Peter.

PS. If anyone has any comments on the Remus exhaust for the BMW 550i as an alternative then please feel free to add to this thread.

I've got an 83mm Eisenmann Race Exhause installed in my car and it's fantastic! Recorded a video in my own thread somewhere... just do advanced search "Eisenmann exhaust" and it should be there somewhere!

Good luck with it!

And yes, I've heard the Eisenmann on E60 M5s and it is amazingly loud! In a good way of course! Mine is nowhere near as loud as that, but it's still awesome! No drone either!

As you say, it doesn't even sound too loud as a race spec exhaust. Although not completely relevant because it is a race version, does it cause any droning issues in the car?

Cheers,

Peter.

No drone. Remus is much cheaper than Eisenmann...not saying it's crap but quality-wise, I think Eisenmann is definitely an upper level!

Certainly the biggest problem with the Eisenmann in Australia is the huge price. The Remus is under half the price here. Still, most reports on them seem to be good.
