Word has gotten out over on e90post, M5board and MBWorld that Eisenmann cease using Eisenhaus as their US distributor. Apparently, Eisenmann just got wind that Eisenhaus has been manufacturing their own exhausts and labeling them as Eisenmann products. There are three models that Eisenhaus had available: Meisterschaft, Race and Sport.
I remember reading a few months back how Meisterschaft was a newer, louder, better build quality model that would be the top-of-the-line exhaust available from Eisenmann, when in actuality now it's still the same Eisenmann Race from Germany but rebranded in the US by Eisenhaus. The Eisenhaus "Eisenmann" Race and Sport exhausts are not exhausts made by Eisenmann, but are made either in Korea or Japan. That's the jist of it. Eisenmann Race made in Germany (Eisenhaus rebranded 'Meisterschaft GT') > Eisenmann Race made in Asia (Eisenhaus exhaust). Of course we all know this, but I think you meant sound quality. That is a good question.

Seems to me that even though Eisenhaus made counterfeit Eisenmann exhausts, they're not too bad. I haven't heard anything negative about them. Prior to getting my Renntech exhaust for my E63, I was going to order Eisenmann Race but Eisenhaus was backordered up to six months. Lucky for me, I guess?

I don't know about the quality/sound, but wouldn't you get pissed if you paid top dollar for a Korean-made item when you were expecting authentic?
Its like rep parts, you pay cheaper b/c its not authentic but looks the same

You're right. Regardless of the quality of the counterfeit, it's fraud by Eisenhaus and I would be mad as hell too if I had bought one.
