I agree.. the ride is not that bad with Race springs and I dont scratch on driveways or dips either. It took about 1hr for Eurorev to finish my car. Its not that hard to lower the car if you have the tools and lift

I dropped my own e46 and it was fairly simple with a spring compressor and an impact gun but im not sure, perhaps i better not risk it. Those e46 guys like the DIY mentality. You folks here at E60fanatics are a little bit different. Nevertheless, ill give those folks a call at wheel warehouse. Heloha is your car dropped already in that pic? I want a 1.5" drop what type of springs would i need to get ?

Iceman did your alignment come out ok? Were they able to do the alignment back to factory spec on your 2" drop?

No I haven't dropped yet...pic is from low angle. They told me eibach has a spring for my car (550 w/sport opt.) that will drop 1.2" all the way around.

ICEMAN, your car is sick...wish I had the #/?!!! to go low like that!

since it seems that rjcastr's thread has been somewhat hijacked. allow me to continue...

for those that dropped with springs and kept your oem shocks. do you tend to bottom out on the shocks? i see a lot of members that only have springs but i've always thought if you change your springs you'd have to get stiffer shocks.

anyone that has springs only care to comment, i mean convince me.

I have just springs with oem sports shocks and I have not bottomed out yet.. I hit some bumps on the fwy at about 110mph with no problems..

thanks ice. bumps at 110? yikes. your ride was looking good doing it though

i'm just concerned about wearing out the shocks faster, uneven tire wear, and other stories that come with lowering the car. but i just love the look, esp with no fender gap! are you worried about that ice? or any others?

Yeah I was having a little fun with my boss's 750Li on the fwy.. What I was thinking about the shocks is if it wears out before the warranty expires then just put it back to stock and get it replaced I'm sure lowering the car will take its toll on the shocks and tires but I think its worth the trouble. Plus my friends old E39 lowered with springs on stock shocks still doesn't have any problems yet.. Its been almost 4years. The shocks are still good.. Hey what is esp?

Ice, I think I remember you asking if there was a good place around here to do the alignment for our cars, and all my friends that lowered their BMW's said go to wheelwherehouse in anaheim.

I'm pretty sure that was you asking because I asked you about it, but it could have been someone else too.

Sorry my braincells have depleted quite a bit (too much raving in my teen years)
