As we are going off topic ... 'bout battery ... 'code' can be telling the car what kind of (ie. AGM or std and the amp etc) battery you have so the car charging system can properly charge it to prevent battery over/under charge or the other 'code' which simply record date & milage of new battery jut for record keeping.
Now back in topic ... sorry OP ...

Yah yah... mistakes made and learn But i guess that's part of "growing up" in this ever complicated BMW world. And why on earth we need to "code" even for changing a new car battery??? .. I've owned 7 Toyotas before and never ever I've spent so much time in a forum!! Gosh... Must get back some life.....

I placed the order on the 19th, came in the mail today thurs 23rd. Fast shipping like the auction said +1
These are better quality than i expected physically all metal and soft rubber gaskets, quality feel. The black cylinder on the wiring harness is actually metal. I expected plastic.
Install went smooth on the pass side. My hand wouldnt fit in the driver side to turn the new bulb. So i used plyers and scratched up a heat sink a little. I need a set of rubber coated plyers or something, always running into situations like this.
Before - take note of the brightness...

Upclose shots. VERY happy with the color and brightness. Feelin really good about only spending $70.
Brightness looks OEM to me. (My headlights are peppered 57k miles.)
I would definitely buy these for my E90 if i didnt have to take the wheel well apart.

I am concerned about overheating and melting wires if touching the metal parts. AZ gets 115 in the summer, plus baking in the sun at work, add V8 engine heat.
A true thrash test!
