Hi.
I know many of you guys are performing a substansial amount of retrofitting and mods, and a lot of these retrofittings require some coding.
So, which tool(interface/software) do you use?
A trip to the dealer everytime the car gets a new feature can get quite expensive
I was thinking about using an ediabas interface and NCS expert, but not sure how this performs...
Thanks in advance for all replies
:-)
Tommy.

Hi Trex
You need to be very carefull with this tools.
I broke my car on Saturday
I disconected the battery, unpluged the front seat to check which pins are wired on the socket, after I pluged everything back, connected the battery and all the problems started. I had the airbag, seat belt, steering wheel lock simbols on display. My power steering was not working.
I thought I will fix this with INPA/Ediabas and I started clearing faults. After all this procedures my CCC died as well. So now I booked an appointment in one garage in Leeds, I am very scared about the price they will give me.
I bought a basic 520d 2006. So far I've installed in my car professional satnav (CCC, high iDrive, 8.8 screen), msport steering wheel, 18' msport wheels. I've done all this works myself, and everyting worked perfect with out coding, but this time when I disconnected the battery I was unlucky.
So guys if you are not experienced like me, be very carefull with this tools.
Regards
Serg
