Hey wheel/tire gurus... I know there are several threads out there, and there's just such a vast glut of information out there (mostly for E60 AWD) but I think I've seen just a few posts from folks who have staggered setups and/or taller tires on their wheels.

So what I want is to go slightly taller with the sidewall, plus go with staggered wheels. I'm worried about clearance with the air suspension in the rears, and I prefer a more conservative setup for the wheel widths... as in I'd rather it be tucked in more than flush with the car. I found a set of staggered wheels that I like, but I'm worried that the fitment may be too aggressive with the widths.

Does this sound like a valid fitment for my E61 535xi wagon?

Front: 19x8.5 ET35 - 245/40-19
Rear: 19x9.5 ET38 - 275/35-19

Thanks!

Hey neighbor. Those sizes doesn't seem unreasonable. Perhaps somebody with some real experience on an E61 will chime in though.

Hola neighbor. Thanks for chipping in. Yeah, I think I've narrowed it down enough that I'm ready to pull the trigger, but it never hurts to get a little verification, especially with a semi-permanent purchase like a full set of wheels & tires.

That's a pic of my 128 fitment before the drop.. 34.5 et frt. 35 et rear, I'd say you'd have some room..

Thanks for the info TLO03. Your setup is sweet... Is that an M-tech bumper and sideskirt? And what did you do to drop it?
