E61 Instruments lights mod

First step of blue interior lights is done.

The next step is the instument cluster : But I have a big problem. The leds are build inside the little motors. Can somebody help me for open them up or even better for new little motors so I can do some experiments.

Any other tips and tricks are welcome

this has been done before, but I can't remember from which forum I saw it. Hopefully someone will chime in for you.

what leds did you use? I want to change them to white but heard it was too bright

What a transformation. You have some really crazy skills. Defintely not for novice because it involves alot of soldering skills. I wish I was that brave.
