Minor set back. I put on the first coat of paint, which was a satin black. Well let me tell you, that was no satin it was glossy as shit. I just spent the last hour trying to get as much paint off as possible. Luckily I got probably 95 percent off. Tomorrow I will have to start the primer and paint all over. Wish me luck.

I'm rooting for you man, just take your time with it otherwise people will be quick to bash it for the smallest imperfection. I love to see people push the envelope and customize "the forbidden"

I haven't ruled it out yet. I am trying to do it with paint first. If this attempt fails, plati dip it is. Used the hell out of that shit with my Jetta.
I think one of my problems is I started trying to get it done too quick. I slowed down and things are starting to look better.

A few coats of Matte Black down. Have to wait for it to completely dry so I can wet sand it and hopefully get most of the imperfections out. I will most likely have to add some more coats. The matte is still too shiny, but hopefully when it dries out completely and I sand it smooth, it will dull it out some.

looks good to me. i see a couple of imperfections, but unless you wrap it somehow it's never going to be 100% perfect with any kind of spray on coating. i think what you have on there looks better than plasti-dip. id leave it how it is.
