So, I'm thinking about getting some E60 sport springs just to lower my car a little less then an inch. I know most people would say just get the Eibach pro-kits, but if I'm sticking with factory Bmw parts it wont void my warranty. what's your thoughts on this?

Unless you can source the springs for fairly cheap either used or from a dealer, I think you are better off going aftermarket. For the price, you are going to get a much better drop and improvement in performance over the factory sport springs. With that said, you may be able to get factory sport springs for fairly cheap from a member who had stock sport and is upgrading to an aftermarket setup.

i know this topic is talked about a lot but from my understanding and talking to my dealership today, my warranty wont be void from getting aftermarket springs as long as they arent the cause for the problem my warranty might possibly fix...from what i know, i would just get aftermarket springs instead of stock sport, might be wrong though...

exactly, they have to prove that lowering springs caused the problem. Its illegal to just say " oh well you used non oem parts"

tires are non oem parts and they dont void the warranty over that

+1 going aftermarket. dealers here dont really have a problem with our e60s being lowered and modded. they wont replace your shocks for sure but no biggie. with springs, it usually comes down between eibach pro-kits and H&R sports.

H&R's are harsh compared to OEM and Eibach's. Eibach's are closer to stock ride...but with not as much drop as H&R's.
