Well, they're certainly utilitarian. I imagine if you live where there is a lot of ice or rocky debris flying up it makes sense to protect the car. They're definitely not attractive nor do they look like a body kit!

I absolutely abhor fake merchandise--it's just so wrong in so many ways. Who would buy that crap other than a total poseur? You pay a premium for quality, not the name. Sheesh!

CWS530 - I can't resist - anyone that would put red caliper covers on a BMW has no business commenting on someone who adds splash guards OR "abhoring fake merchandise" when you've so cheapened your car with caliper covers. Either leave them alone or install the real thing. You're a complete hypocrite!!

guys, I'd be careful about making condescending comments about mud flaps. Although I wouldn't install them as part of a "body kit", there are well respected members here with them and have installed them for the obvious practical reasons.

..like it was mentioned : " to each his own"...

Andy is right.

We have membrs here that have them.
In fact, it does makes sense. It is a white car and the mud flaps help a little that the car doesn't get too dirty. There are lots of rads that are not clean, and lots of areas where the weather isn't good all the time.

I wouldn't put them on, such as 20" wheels... Do I call people wackos who do it? No!

To each his own!

BTW: Mud flaps are an official BMW part and can be ordered at any BMW dealer.........
